Timeless aesthetics – Functional design

Our design is a nod to the 1970s – the golden era of Italian racing where bikes had soul. The geometry gives the bike it's characteristic retro-look. Vibrations from cobblestones or tram tracks are naturally absorbed through the steel frame. Every detail is there to make sure your bike stays reliable and beautiful for years.

We started MAY in Zurich because we couldn't find the bike we actually wanted to ride – something that felt as good on a Tuesday commute as it looked leaned against a cafe wall. Produced in small batches, directly delivered to your door from our Swiss and German warehouses.

Who is behind MAY?

MAY was founded in 2017 by two friends from Zurich, bringing together their graphic design, product development and sourcing expertise. After years of growth, the leadership was passed to Timo & Alex in 2023, two dedicated MAY enthusiasts and long-term friends. Together with an international team, we're building on the core principles that MAY stands for: Timeless aesthetics, direct production channels, and an impeccable commitment to functional design.

We're operating out of Zurich (Switzerland) with warehouses in Schwarzenbach (Switzerland) and Constance (Germany). Our bikes are available at selected retail partners, and we ship to most countries in Europe.

What bike size is best for me?

You can find the available sizes when viewing your preferred product. Based on your body size, we generally recommend the following sizes:

  • S: 150 cm - 168 cm
  • M: 169 cm – 181 cm
  • L: 182 cm - 200 cm

If you're between those sizes, choose a smaller size for a more agile, sporty ride - and a taller size for a more smooth ride.

Which shipping service provider will deliver my order?

Deliveries within Switzerland are shipped from our warehouse in Schwarzenbach (CH) with Swiss Post. Deliveries within the EU are shipped from our warehouse in Konstanz (DE) with DPD.

Where do you ship, and what are the costs?

We ship our bikes across Switzerland and to most EU-countries. Depending on the products and your location, free shipping might apply. You will find detailed information on the checkout page after entering your address.

Are customs duties and taxes included in the price?

Yes. The price shown already includes all applicable taxes and fees. Since orders within Switzerland are shipped from our Swiss warehouse, and orders within the EU are shipped from our German warehouse, no additional customs duties or fees will be charged.

Why are your bicycles so affordable?

Starting from a non-commercial basic idea, selling at affordable prices was very important to MAY Ltd. from the beginning. Direct production and distribution channels allow MAY Ltd. to limit costs and pass on the price advantage to the end customer.

Do you offer bikes for men/ women?

We believe that style has no gender. All of our bikes are unisex bikes and suitable for both men and women.

Do your products have a warranty?

Yes, our products come with a 2-year warranty. Quality is very important to us. Please review the warranty information for more details. In case of any questions or problems with our products, please contact us anytime.

Can I return products?

Yes, you can return unused products. To start a return, please reach out to our customer service at info@may-ltd.com. The customer service will provide you with all information related to the return. Returns that have not previously been notified to info@may-ltd.com cannot be accepted. For more details, please review our returns policy.
