1. MAY International S.A. (hereinafter "MAY") grants the first legal owner who acquires ownership by purchasing the MAY bicycle from an authorized dealer or distributor of MAY International S.A. a warranty of 2 years from the date of purchase against defects in material and workmanship. During this period, MAY will, at its discretion, either replace the defective product with a product of similar type and quality or repair it. Conversion as well as reduction are excluded.

2. a valid proof of purchase and proof of warranty must be provided in order to make a warranty claim. Warranty claims are not transferable.

Wear parts such as tires, inner tubes, chains, brake pads, shift/brake cables and covers, lighting systems, grips, sprockets, chainrings, etc. are excluded from the warranty. Likewise parts that have been modified by the buyer or damaged as a result of improper handling, accident or poor maintenance.

4. also excluded from the warranty are self-inflicted damages or malfunctions (e.g. due to accidents), as well as negligence (e.g. elementary, moisture, fall and impact damages, etc.).

MAY expressly recommends initial assembly by a bicycle mechanic. This ensures correct assembly and proper functioning of all components.

6. no warranty is given for damage caused by improper assembly or maintenance, tampering and intervention, in particular installation of spare parts or attachments not originally intended for or compatible with this bicycle.

The warranty does not apply if the purchaser was already aware of the defects prior to purchase or did not comply with his obligation to give notice of defects immediately after purchase of the product.

The guarantee is only provided in the event of proper use.

10 These provisions are subject to Swiss law. The exclusive place of jurisdiction is Baden. The CISG UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods is not applicable.
